Promotional golf balls are a big selling point and something that logogogo can print quickly within their offices. In the next few days I'll be writing a new form for their websites that should really help customers.
By choosing a brand and type of golf ball and quantity, the customer can get an exact quote. They can then upload a logo and send it straight into the office for the mockup to be produced.
Should be really good for customers - which hopefully means better business. One or two clever little tricks should be built into the tools, depending on how much time I can put into it.

Promotional Golf Balls

These are a fantastic item and cotrary to what it says on the website, they can easily be produced in volumes starting from just 2 dozen.
Almost any golf ball can be printed on. Any make is usually suitable, even lake balls if you are after something really cheap.
Prices for logo golf balls will depend on the brand and quantity. Logo Dunlop golf balls can be as little as £9.50 per dozen, whereas logo Titleist Pro V1 golf balls can be from £33, for the PTS Solo.
The balls are printed on site and depending on current work loads they can usually be produced very quickly. Branded golf balls will be returned to the original packets after the printing process, so you can give your recipients a sleeve of 3 balls or a box of 12 balls, depending on how generous you are feeling! This really makes the gift look impressive and adds to the feeling of value, as well as making transport and storage far easier.

Give Your New Customers A Treat
I've recently appreciated the importance of keeping your customers sweet. It took me 4 years, but I eventually realised that if you keep communicating with them and making sure they are happy, when they need your services you are at the front of their mind. If you let them trot on without ever speaking to you, then they are likely to look elsewhere for a fresh mind next time.
So to this end, I've also starting sending gifts to my customers. Next Christmas I'll probably send existing customers cards with a present, but I've also started sending new customers small gifts. Recently, for a particularly patient customer, I arranged for a couple of dozen logo golf balls to be printed with her logo and website URL on them.
It didn't cost much to pack these into a jiffy bag with her invoice, and the cheque was received back virtually by return of post! And she emailed be to say how much she liked the logo golf balls. Best of all, now when she's playing every time she loses a ball, she's leaving an advert out on the course!
Try it yourself - send customers some balls and get some printed for yourself!

Promotional Golf Balls

Why do I tell you this? Well consider this. Quite often there are people searching the rough for lost golf balls. They collect huge bags of balls and these are then sold as 'pick ups' to the players.
How many of these balls go to people who could be targets of one of my websites?
Being a 'careless' player, I only play with cheap balls. But even lake balls can be printed onto, if the quantity is right. So if I had a few dozen Promotional Golf Balls Printed (like the one above) then on every round of golf the more balls I lost the more marketing I'm doing.
Why not give out a few dozen golf balls to employees, friends etc. As they slowly lose them on golf courses your marketing is being done for you!

Designing To Suit Your Promotional Materials
Your promotional message or logo might not be the first thing on your mind when you are deciding what products to use. You might already have decided that just putting your logo onto the items with a quick line or two is enough. But stop right there.
Consider the printable shape of the item. What's going to work best on it? Is it square, rectangular or circular?

A promotional golf ball, for example, is best printed with a circular pattern. It could be printed with a square print, but the proportions would be wrong.
Take care when planning your promotional ideas and make sure that you get the best results every time.
